## Architectural hardware that defines the space
At Opitome, we specialise in architectural hardware that completes the story not with noise or decoration, but with substance, precision, and enduring quality. We work with some of Britain’s and the world’s finest hardware makers to supply ironmongery that blends seamlessly into the design, through quality, finish and tactile feel.
Whether you’re specifying for a single door or an entire development, we help you choose hardware that feels considered at every touchpoint and back it with responsive, detail-obsessed support that makes your job easier, not harder.

#### Specification support
Product recommendations, quoting, scheduling
#### Finish matching
Consistency across all items and spaces
#### Sample coordination
Get hardware in hand before you commit
#### Responsive service
No chasing, no uncertainty

## Sourcing with integrity. Supplying with care.
We believe luxury and responsibility go hand in hand. That’s why we source from manufacturers who uphold strong values around sustainability, quality, and ethical production.
Most of our hardware is made in the UK, finished by hand, and built from solid materials like brass and bronze not lightweight or plated alternatives. This results in longer-lasting, lower-waste solutions that offer better value over the product’s lifecycle.
Minimise packaging waste
Offer finish options with low-maintenance, long-term performance
Consolidate orders and phase deliveries to reduce site impact

## From discovery to delivery
The journey from early engagement to receiving an order typically spans several months and includes detailed communication with multiple stakeholders like designers, architects, QS, contractors, and specialists.
### Discovery Call
We refine the vision further: confirming finishes, timelines, and project requirements. At this stage, we often provide samples of preferred hardware to support material boards and design approval.
### Specification & Cost
We prepare indicative pricing across a selection of door sets (latching, privacy, locking, sliding), providing a clear picture of what can be achieved. Where appropriate, Quantity Surveyors and project leads may engage to discuss alignment with the wider scheme.
### Ironmongery & Hardware
With direction established, we produce a detailed, door-by-door ironmongery schedule. This stage is meticulous and often developed in pre-tender to ensure seamless coordination.
### Collaboration
Our proposals are shared with tendering parties, which may include Main Contractors or Specialist Joinery Contractors.
We work closely with the appointed team to refine the schedule in line with the final design and delivery plans. Revisions are normal as the design evolves, and we maintain flexibility to respond quickly.
### Confirmation & Procurement
Once confirmed, we receive the official order and deposit. We begin procuring items tailored specifically to the project. Lead time is typically 6–10 weeks, depending on complexity and finishes
